Great River Bowl & Partners Pub, family-owned and operated since 1979, is Central Minnesota’s premier destination for bowling, dining, and community-focused entertainment. With a long-standing commitment to excellence and generosity, we pride ourselves on delivering memorable experiences while giving back to the community that supports us.
At the heart of our venue are 32 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, featuring cutting-edge interactive scoring systems and automatic bumpers for a family-friendly experience. Our Suite Lanes offer 8 private lanes ideal for parties, corporate gatherings, and special events. Meanwhile, our expanded arcade and Xtreme Glow Bowling nights elevate the fun for guests of all ages.
Our newly reimagined Partners Pub serves as the culinary centerpiece of the facility. With a full-service kitchen and bar, we offer a menu of high-end, handcrafted favorites including gourmet burgers, signature appetizers, and our famous homemade pizzas. The Breakroom, an extension of the pub, provides additional seating and entertainment like pool tables, pinball, and arcade classics, and can be reserved for events up to 100 guests. Weekly Happy Hour specials and our signature Insane Bloody Mary make Partners Pub a local favorite.
Beyond entertainment, community support is at the core of our mission. Each year, we contribute thousands of dollars to local education, non-profits, youth teams, and charitable initiatives. We provide discounted rates and host events for organizations such as Special Olympics, Junior Achievement, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, among many others.

Our Business History
| 1979 | Originally constructed as a 16 lane bowling center |
| 1984 | Business purchased by Lyle & Barb Mathiasen |
| 1999 | Automatic scoring is added and bowling side is completely remodeled |
| 2000 | Business expanded to add 8 new lanes, entire bar seating area and kitchen are remodeled |
| 2003 | All wood lanes are converted to synthetic material. Bar service area is remodeled |
| 2004 | Business is expanded and The Breakroom is constructed; 2300 sq ft added to restaurant |
| 2006 | The kitchen is reconfigured to add more prep space |
| 2007 | Business is expanded and The Courtyard outdoor patio is constructed |
| 2008 | Kitchen is renovated and expanded and a new automatic scoring system is installed |
| 2009 | Kitchen is re-equipped/realigned to accommodate on-site baking |
| 2010 | Business is expanded to add 11,000sq ft including The Suite Lanes (8 private bowling lanes), the 208 Lounge (separate and private bar), kitchen is completely reconfigured and expanded, additional restrooms are constructed, parking lot is expanded and additional land is purchased to add green space |
| 2013 | Storage space in the 2010 expansion is remodeled to add a second “banquet” kitchen |
| 2015 | All lanes are digitally scanned and rebalanced to level them to within 1000ths of an inch, parking lot is excavated and repaved |
